iPhone 6 got power effective text and is now on constant reboot loop. Can not get it to restore. Help?

How do i solve this without a computer? Its on a constant reboot and its super annoying. I've tried taking out the SIM card, asking people to send me numerous text as well as call me and it all isn't working. Im using an iphone 6 plus.

If you have no access to any computer anywhere (library?), try making an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store.

I'm currently in camp serving my nation so i don't at least for the next few days =/. Will getting the message out of the main screen by asking people to spam me work? Or rebooting the phone after running it down to 0% battery.

I don't understand what you mean about making people to spam you. That's how your phone got in to this state in the first place.

You've certainly nothing to lose by letting the battery drain and then trying again.

Spam as in send me random messages to get the effective power message out of the lock screen. The phone is in this state because of the effective power message arabic language unicode bug that i received. My phone is only suppposed to reboot once after receiving it but somehow it is on constant reboot. Gonna try running it down now will let you know soon. I'm pretty sure many people are having this problem as well. Thanks alot anyway btw!! 🙂

Yes, I know what caused the problem. The only text that could potentially have solved the problem is one from the person who sent it to you. However, if the phone won't completely boot up, that's not going to work.

i got it over whatsapp =/ in a group chat.

Hi, my friend had this issue, and we managed to solve it by restarting the phone by holding the power and home button whilst it restarts and reboots.

Hi exactly when did your friend restart the phone? When it is at the lock screen or showing the apple sign? Do I have to time the DFU mode such that it coincides just at that point?

As Meg stated, you can log into icloud and erase your device. This is the best bet for your situation. However you do not need computer access to do so. You can login from any I device, maybe your friends iPhone or iPad using the FMI app.

Sorry for a late reply, but i'm not too sure, i don't have an iDevice myself so i'm not sure, we fixed it over a skype call so i had no way of seeing. I would recommend just holding it in for the entire duration of the reboot cycle and hope for the best.
