My home button is barely working,like there is a short in it.What can I do or what can spple do if I have repair and service coverage?

If you are under warranty, make a Genius Bar appointment and take it in to Apple for an evaluation. After they check it out they will let you know what your service or repair options are. Nobody here can speak for Apple and what they may or may not be able to do, nor can we diagnose a hardware issue over the Internet for you. You need to take it in for service.
