media player hanging up time to time

I have mac pro OS X Yosemite version10.10.3. While watching movie the media player keeps freezing for about 30 seconds then it work normally for couple of minute then it freeze again. The spin search wheel keeps pop ups. I tried to fix it using the utility disk for couple of times and its still the same however looks to me there no major issues as nothing shows after running the utility disk.
