bluetooth connection with my car stopped working several times

I have the iPhone 6 using ios 8.3. In the past month my Bluetooth connection with my car has just stopped working at least 3x. Once it dropped the connection while I was in the middle of listening to a podcast through Bluetooth in the car. The two other times the audio device would just never connect once I started the car. Today I turned the phone off and on multiple times to try to "reset" the device. I also went into Settings and told the phone to forget the connection to the car. It would never rediscover the car.

My car is new, just bought it in December, so it has the quick connect feature where you don't need to enter a pin. Any tips on how to restore this connection?
