May 28, 2015 7:55 AM in response to Garrett Bryantby ZikzakCorp,First, check Settings > Messages, Send and Receive, and make sure her number is selected under "Start New Conversations From." If not, select it and try deleting the old message thread and sending a new conversation.
If that doesn't work, go to Settings > Messages > Facetime, and tap your Apple ID and choose Sign Out. Do the same thing on Settings > Messages, Send and Receive. Restart the iPhone, and sign back into Facetime and Messages, and see if the number is showing under Send and Receive.
