iTunes 12 crashes on app sync with iPhone

Hello,

I'm on a company operated Win7, 64bit environment. Windows account is given.

iTunes starts normally. Connecting my iPhone it starts syncing and goes through the stages 1 to 3.

On step 4 (syncing of apps) iTunes crashes. (My calendar is up to date, my contacts are synced).

a) This is quite annoying.

b) Syncing of apps is the only thing that can not be switched off in iTunes. I can decide to sync music, calendar, contacts but no the apps.

c) I see no use in syncing apps between an iPhone and a windows based iTunes installation.

I have read the help pages and tried the different "iTunes crashes" standard proposed remedies to no avail.
