Free textbook. Can you distribute to an unlimited amount of students?

Hello. Beginning to plan for next school year and some of the staff would like to start using iBooks as their textbooks. My question is even though the textbook is free are there a certain number of students these can be distributed too? Would I need a VPP code, even though it's free, if I go over a certain number? Have tried searching the forums, googling etc. but cannot find an answer.

Thanks

For a specific textbook you may have to contact the publish rights holder

regarding their educational limits. ~ While there, ask if your institution may

be able to download the books to a local server - so students may acquire

these items without downloading from the main internet...

While not necessarily a problem with some internet accounts for education

other users may find cost or time advantage to a localized archive source.

Also most ebook information is available so as to research who's in control.

Not sure if you could gather information about your question from this source:

Good luck! 🙂
