iTunes Music Skipping w/ Chromw

iTunes music tracks skip and stutter when I try to use Chrome on my MacBook Air (2014).

I found another thread and "solution" to this absurd problem for Windows users, but cannot find any solution for a Mac. Any ideas for fixes?

This seems like something that really shouldn't be happening... ever.
