How to transfer albums between users on the same mac

Hi,

I was wondering how do you transfer certain albums from iPhoto to a different user on the same mac. Im trying to put them on an iPad that is synced with the other account so I can't sync them straight from this album.

Thanks in advance

Do you have iPhoto libraries on both accounts? Then export the photos from each album to a folder, move these folders to /Users/Shared and import the photos from these folders to the iPhoto Library in the other user account.

You cannot open your iPhoto library from a different user account, unless it is on an external drive with the ignore ownership flag enabled, see this link:

The folder Users is a folder at the top level of your Macintosh HD, it is holding the Home folders of all users on your Mac. One of the Home folders is called "Shared", and it has special protections, so files can be shared between user accounts.

To export photos from your library, select them, then use the menu commend "File > Export", like this - select your system drive in the sidebar of the Export panel, then the folder "Users", and then "Shared".
