Imac 27 Late 2009 Memory in New iMac 2015

I have 16gb in my late 2009 iMac 27


spec is

DDR3 PC3-8500 • CL=7 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1066 • 1.35V • 512Meg x 64 • lead free • halogen free • for Mac

New iMac 27"


Spec


DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • lead free • halogen free • for Mac


These are the same secs only speed difference Please help me technical .....not opinion as to why!


I do not play videos games and would never notice the difference

Two totally different specifications, they 2009 RAM will not work in a current iMac. Also iMacs are very sensitive to having


  • correct RAM
  • high quality RAM


If you decide to upgrade the new machine only purchase from Crucial or OWC (www.macsales.com)
