Please help with EtreCheck report - much appreciated

Hello,

I have been having issues with browsing (all browsers have been tested and do the same thing) on my iMac. I get a spinning ball when I go to Facebook (not all the time, but intermittently). This happens on Yahoo, Google and other pages as well. I have had our internet provider, ATT, out to diagnose issue several times over the last 2 months. They have found the problem to be not just on ethernet, but on wireless as well. I use an Airport Express for wireless and because it provides WIFI so much faster than the router provided by AT&T, they have shut off their router's wireless capabilities. It does not seem to affect my husband's PC, however it does affect my iPad with same problems. I have deleted cookies, reset systems and tested extensions. I use Chrome most of the time. I have removed and reinstalled clean version of Chrome. I finally came upon EtreCheck and have attached the report below. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Problem description:

All browsers run slow on Facebook, Google and other sites. This occurs on ethernet or wifi.

Ditch ALL Googlewares. They are ALL a serious resource hogs on the OS X system.

The additional benefit is that you'll stop Google from mining your data when you surf the web

DItch Google Chrome

If you do not like Apple's Safari web browser, download, install and try Mozilla FireFox, instead.

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox

The current, up-to-date version of FireFox is fully compatible with OS X and is regularly updated by the great developers of the Mozilla group.

I have, also, stopped using the Google search engine regularly (due to Google's privacy policies or lack thereof) and I now use DuckDuckGo as my default search engine.

You have too many apps launching at login/startup.

These need to be pared down to 6 items or less

Add or remove automatic items

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Users & Groups.

Select your user account, then click Login Items.

Do one of the following:

Click Add ➕ below the list on the right, select an app, document, folder, or disk, then click Add.

If you don’t want an item’s windows to be visible after login, select Hide. (Hide does not apply to servers, which always appear in the Finder after login.)

Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically, then click Delete ➖ below the list on the right.

Make sure ALL applications are up to date. Make sure you are using up to date FireFox and make sure all of your Internet web plugins and extensions are all up to date.

Thanks to you both. I have done all that you asked (it was hard to get rid of Chrome.... I liked it), but it is done. We shall see how it goes. Fitbit does not appear to be a problem. I just added it a couple of weeks ago and have had the problem for longer than that. Again, thanks for taking the time to help. I'll let you know what happens.
