safari quits when inactive

On Yosemite my Safari quits if I leave the computer for a while. If for example I surf during the evening I close it when I go to sleep (I don't quit - just close it). The next morning the little dot below the Safari icon in the dock is gone indicating that Safari quit.

That never happened before Yosemite. Does anyone know if this is an intended behavior, and if it is - how I disable it?

Automatic and Sudden Termination of Apps
Automatic app termination manages the life cycle of apps behind the scenes, terminating apps that are not being used and allowing the reclamation of resources such as memory. With this feature, users no longer need to explicitly quit apps (although they still can, if they want to). Instead, the operating system is responsible for managing app processes with the goal of ensuring optimal system performance.
