Why is my Mac saying "Your computer shutdown because of a problem"

Hi, I bought a refurb 2012 Mac mini core i5 with 8 giga memory with the regular Harddisk....Mavericks, that came from Apple this last september from the Apple online store.

Recently most of the times when I turn it on, on login a box come up saying "Your computer shutdown because of a problem". When I'm log with the admin account I can see the report. It wasn't doing this before...From what I read on the net, it is a kernel panic...I couldn't find a lot of troubleshooting on this. The last software I installed was screenflick, which is a screen recording and it records system audio but I think it installed sound flower...Would this be a coincidence?

What are the steps that I could take to see if I'm having hardware issues? I tried to start the computer in safe mode, but it took forever I gave up, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong...

Any help will be fully appreciated...

Mac mini (Late 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), bought sept 2014

These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

In the Console window, select

DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION System Diagnostic Reports

(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

View Show Log List

from the menu bar.

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.

If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)

Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.

I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.

When you post the report, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "The message contains invalid characters." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the text on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Hi, I don't use the time machine or time capsule, but I have a seagate external driver attached in the usb port, which I plugged on the mini, been using since september, but the seagate doesn't have any software installed, I just put files in there...

The only things I remember installing around the time that this has been happening was the Screenflick software...and it records audio system, and I think it installed soundflower...because I had sound flower before, months ago, but I uninstalled because it wasn't working. I had a tryout of Movavi , but I think I uninstalled when the tryout ran out....

Why is my Mac saying "Your computer shutdown because of a problem"
