TextEdit and Links and converting to PDF ?

I have created a document in textedit (.rtf) and have placed textlinks within the body of the article. I want to save it as a .pdf AND have the textlinks remain active.

How do I keep the textlinks active when converting from textedit/.rtf to a .pdf format? I'm trying to create a .pdf e-book with active links within it.
