I would like to create an IF function which SEARCHes a specified cell for an alpha string (CMYK). If it finds the specified alpha string, it should auto fill the cell with a specific word (CYAN). If it doesn't find the alpha string (CMYK), I'd like it to remain blank (ready for manual input). It works if I use EXACT, but the alpha string (CMYK) has variables attached to it within the specified cell's, dropdown menu (ie. CMYK, CMYK + 1, CMYK + 2, etc.). So it works with CMYK but not with CMYK + 1. SEARCH works except there are other items in the dropdown menu (ie. 1 colour, 2 colour, 3 colour, etc.) which return a "can't find CMYK" result. I've tried MATCH, but it wants a boolean value. Is there a solution to this problem?
