i have dealt with the FaceTime switch and handoff on BOTH phones and my calls (random calls, not every one) are ringing through onto my spouses phone. We use the family feature in icloud. Any other ideas? "don't share" isn't an option due to purchases that cannot be transfered or recovered. both phones are 6+

I have seen one report some time ago where Settings > FaceTime was off but the problem was reportedly resolved by turning Settings > FaceTime on and then turning Settings > FaceTime > iPhone Cellular Calls off on both phones. After you try that you could then turn Settings > FaceTime off again if desired.
I Have done this numerous times. that is not the issue. Handoff is also off so there my calls should not be received on my phone and my husbands still.
