Connect DELL 1907FP to Macbook Air

I'm trying to connect my macbook air to two dell 1907fp monitors. One is a VGA adapter and one is a DVI. I got this thunderbolt to vga/dvi adapter and the DVI works fine. the VGA is just black and shows 1. analog and sleep mode.

Both monitors worked fine when in a windows computer.

When i swap the cables, the monitor that isn't working shows the screen for a moment but then goes back to sleep regardless of if a second monitor is plugged into the adapter or not).

Anyone have any troubleshooting? I already reset the NRAM
