Two Finer Scrolling with Trackpad not working

I have the appropriate systems preference selected, I have restarted the macbookpro a few times, and I even tried the command line code that people mentioned, but to no avail. It was working, but after restoring my new macbook pro from my old one (only 18 months old) two finger scrolling or swiping is still not working.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

It may be a defective trackpad, get an apple store appointment just to make sure.

but 3 finger gestures work! And it worked before I restored it from the time machine back up.

OK So I manged to fix it. I had to turn the scrolling function off in systems preferences. Restart the laptop. And then turn the scrolling function back on. And it worked fine! Crazy!
