My calendar app on my iPad Air is freezing and not responding or showing events when opened. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

when I try to open the calendar app on my ipad air (fully updated) it opens but shows a blank calendar that should have events on it. Also it wont let me add events and does not respond to touching the screen. I feel like this is a simple problem but I would appreciate any help in trying to get ut working again 🙂

I always suggest something basic in situations like this. Force close the calendar and force restart the iPad. You will not lose any data.

Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps. Swipe left to find the app you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

To force restart the device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
