APPLICATION WON'T FORCE QUIT OR QUIT!!!

I was using preview then suddenly it got frozen. The next thing I know is I can't restart and shutdown like what used to do the trick because the app will still be on! I tried everything, forcequit from apple, forcequit from app. PLZ I NEED HELP!!!

Hold down the power button until your computer restarts. Make sure to not open previous windows when it boots again.

I told u in the description... it can't restart because an application is still working even though it is frozen...
