Q: What happened to Photo Stream?

I used to see monthly Photo Stream Events on iPhoto, from my iPhone. I no longer see those available. I wonder how this ties in to iCloud.

I had to cancel my iCloud Drive account, because I have many more photos in in my iPhoto than I want to import into iCloud Drive.

I like the convenience of having my iPhone pics automatically download into iPhoto.  Is there still a way to do that?

Thanks!

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

My Photo Stream continues to work in iPhoto (and even in Photos) just as it always used to do.

I believe the issue you're facing is based on the confusion between the iPhoto application and the new Photos app. Please pay attention to which one of these apps you're using and to the settings you have used.

Disable Photo Stream and sharing in the System/iCloud preference pane

    System Preferences001.jpg

    System Preferences002.jpg

and in iPhoto's iCloud preference pane.

    iPhoto001.jpg

Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.
