Question

OS X 10.6.8. Google sites won't load on any browser.

OS X 10.6.8. Google sites (google.com, google maps, google news and others) won't load on any browser. After re-start they load for while, then stop loading again after a few minutes of activity. Quitting and re-launching browsers and emptying caches don't help. All other (non-google) websites load without problem. I saw this problem discussed a few years ago without clear solution but nothing recently. Suggestions? Thanks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Are you certain you are running 10.6.8? Your signature currently shows 10.6.7.

I just loaded Google Maps in Google Chrome 43 and Safari 5 (admittedly dated) without issue.

Thanks. This problem came up for the first time in the past few months; was fine before. As I said, it's intermittent. Restarting always fixes it, but only temporarily. And yes, OS X 10.6.8. My signature (10.6.7) is what Apple assigned to me; can't seem to change it unless, of course, I'm missing something. That's quite possible.

Problem seems solved after I cleared cache and cookies in Firefox. For some reason, clearing in Firefox also solved problem on Safari.
