Help. I seemed to have lost my recent work from yesterday. Trial expired. Just purchased but now a week's worth of work is gone. How do I get it back??? Help!!!

Is the library you were working in open? Where was the project? In which event? If you look at projects in library smart collections do you see i there? Post screen shots.
From the Final Cut menu: File>Open Library>Other. Navigate to your library and open.

It's not there. Only today's version which is a much older project. I had saved some of my videos to an external drive. That is connected and I did the re-link files but a lot of my edited interviews and other graphics are no longer there.

Perhaps you weren't working in a project,
You may have been working in a clip timeline. Happens quite often,
Go through the clips in the Browser. Right click>Open in Timeline,

Exact same problem. Did a number of projects and events. After I noticed the trial had expired, I purchased it. The library is there with the original date but absolutely nothing accessible. No projects at all even closing an re-opening it. However, I remembered I had built another library and put all my projects in it and after the finder located it, I was able to open it.
