camera connection kit

This is just a memory card reader that attaches to the iPad connector, nothing else. The Photos app should detect it and let you import photos from the card.

For the iPad 2 the camera connection kit has two parts, one part is an SD card reader, the other part is for direct connection to the camera (it has a USB connection on it ; the cable for connecting that to your camera is not included) : camera connection kit.

For newer iPads (those with the lightning connection, not the 30-pin connection) the two parts are sold separately.
