I can no longer forward a contact via Messages

For the last month or so, the ability to click on the box with the arrow coming straight up on the bottom right of contacts and could choose to forward it via Messages no longer functions. Nothing happens, no error message, just nothing. Oddly, it works fine if I choose to email it, but I can no longer forward a contact via Message.
