iPhone 5 camera not working

My iPhone 5 with IOS 8 recently had some kind of glitch in the system. Every time i go to take a picture my camera is either black or has some weird static that I can't get rid of. I tried restarting a bunch of times but that doesn't seem to work. The rest of the phone works fine, Any suggestions?
