iTunes 12 progress bar missing

Hi. Suddenly my progress bar in iTunes was missing.

Also the buttons (shuffle etc) is missing.

I've tried older versions of iTunes and reinstalling the latest but to no avail.

If I switch to mini-player the progress bar is visible and working.

I'd prefer not removing all iTunes settings since I'm subscribed to many podcasts.

If I have to reset all iTunes settings, is there a way to back up my podcasts etc first?
