Q: Old albums in photos

If I turn on iCloud Photo Library, will it delete existing albums in the photos app from my macbook or iphone?

    If you enable iCloud Photo Library your albums in the Photos.app will remain. They will appear as additional albums in iCloud.

     

    But make a current backup of your photos libraries, before you start syncing y´with iCloud Photo Library. We have seen a few reports, were albums were missing after enabling iCloud Photo Library, and it is not clear why that happened.
