2011 Logic board recall? Video is out

All,

We have a 2011 MacBook Pro 15 that is experiencing the GNU problem with the Logic Board and therefore video is not working.

I have read on line a number of class action and recall posts about this problem. But I cannot seem to find anything at Apple about this.

Anyone know the answer?

Or do I pay $$$ to replace the motherboard or do it myself (yes capable, hardware engineer).
