I can't install latest adobe flash the system is telling me I have a security issue and can only install apps from App Store

i can't play any radio content and the system is telling me to install new flash player. Ive tried to do this but get the message


install adobe flash player is on the disc image adobeflashplayer_17_a_install-2dmg. Safari downloaded the disk image today at 16:35 from get.adobe.com. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from Mac app store. HELP!

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Control-click it and choose Open. Alternatively, open the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, click on the General tab, unlock the pane, and choose a less-restrictive option.
