I try downloading Skype for ipad, enter Apple ID and password. Message says this has not been used before in iTunes, details must be checked (country) then"your session has expired", start all over again

Seems to be an issue when using a mobile device when verifying your Apple ID (from what I could tell by the brief search I performed). It seems as if the workaround is to verify your Apple ID using a PC.
