Poor Subtraction Performance on Numbers 3.2.2

I have recently stumbled a very poor performance on Numbers 3.2.2 when subtracting fractional numbers.

I had simply set a cell to subtract two other cells and when I input these values:

177.69

168.98

I got the result:

8.71000000000001

Which is wrong, because it should simply be 8.71 (177.69 - 168.98)

Then I proceeded to try

77.69

68.98

And Numbers' result was:

8.709999999999999

When it should have been 8.71 again.

I think this terrible performance should NOT be accepted in a program like Numbers

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), Numbers 3.2.2
