is the ipad air and air2 displays the same?

The resolution on both displays is the same at 2048 x 1536 pixels (264 pixels-per-inch).

The displays differ however in that the Air 2's display is thinner due to the thinner glass used as well as a different lamination process (no air gap). It also has an Antireflective coating on it (not to be confused with the oleophobic (fingerprint-resistant) coating that are on both displays).

Hi the iPad air2 it a lot thinner but i returned mine because of sound viberation I now have iPad Air 1 no problem with sound. Cheers Brian
