Why doesn't some of my music show up in iTunes even when I sync my iPad?

the purchased songs and such show up just fine, it's just two of my older songs that don't show. I synced my iPad multiple times, but it won't show up. It shows up in devices, but not on the computer. I look the songs up in the iTunes Store, but it says I have to pay for the songs again, I do not owe any charges in the store btw. Either way, all I need are those two songs so that I can sync them to my new phone (which is not an Apple product)
