Photo export to iPhone incomplete

I'm having a problem with syncing my photo library from Mac to iPhone with iTunes - and I think it turned up since upgrading from iPhoto to the new Photos App.

I'm synching via cable without iCloud. Therefore I created a couple of albums which are marked in iTunes for syncing to the iPhone. It worked fine in the past (with iPhoto), but now sync is incomplete: Some albums don't show up on the Phone at all, some albums do show up, but only about half of the pictures that actually are stored in the albums (on my Mac). AND I didn't mark faces for syncing, but nevertheless some faces show up on the iPhone.

Does anybody have the same problem or a solution?

OS X 10.10.3 (Macbook Air, Mid 2011) with iTunes 12.1.2.27 and Photos 1.0
