Does apple sell its own internal hard drive for a macbok pro

I have a 2013 Macbook pro and was told at the apple store that y hard drive is damaged. I am looking to buy a new one. Does apple sell its own internal hard drives or do I just have to buy a generic one or one of the brand ones like WD, seagate, etc.

Thanks a lot

Apple does not make hard drives. If you take it in to your local Apple service shop then they will replace it with one just like it from whichever drive maker they used in that model. However, the 2013 MBPs use an Apple made Flash SSD.

If you wish to DIY then it may be a little difficult because your model uses special PCI bus-based Flash SSDs. You cannot buy them on the open market, although OWC may have a replacement model of their own for your model.
