Being harassed via the arabic text message that shuts off the iphone - why is Apple not seeming to take this more seriously?
I am being harassed via the arabic text message issues that shut down the iphone and cause it to reboot. I have now received the text from 4 different phone numbers that are not numbers I know. As soon as I block one it seems the sender somehow becomes aware and a few minutes later it comes from another phone number. I am inclined to think this is not random and that someone is deliberately targeting my phone but I am not sure as the numbers have varying area codes and might be using an app. They have been doing this for about the past 36 hours in spurts and sending the message 6 - 10 times within a few minutes causing my phone to be virtually unusable since it is shutting down over and over. Great that there is a work around with Siri to get the message app working again, but that doesn't help much when my phone is in constant power off/power on mode. Everything I read online implies that this is somehow not a big deal and just being used by friends to joke around with each other. This is not the case for me and I can't imagine I'm the only one that is being harassed via this message. I can't believe that after 3 to 4 days of this issue being known that Apple has not issued an IOS update nor any public statements of precisely when a fix will be available. I love my Apple products, but if this continues for much longer before they issue an update I will have to seriously consider being done with Apple since I rely on my phone for both personal and business.
