Ipad Disabled therefore Ipad erased via icloud still can't restore Ipad

Hi there

My Ipad is disabled and it is telling me to connect to Itunes. I have worked through all the fixed and eventually signed into Icloud and erased the device as per the instructions. However the device was offline and told me that it would complete when the device was back online. Unfortunately I must have clicked to remove the device and it is no longer showing in Icloud.

I have reconnected to Itunes and tried to restore the ipad. I have received the message go to Icloud settings on your ipad and turn off find my ipad before restoring your ipad. I cannot use my ipad!

I am now completely stuck and do not know what else to try

Any suggestions what to do next.
