Final Cut Pro X 10.2 Exporting Project File

Hello

im currently trying to export a project in Final Cut Pro x 10.2 to send to another editor to edit. I tried exporting going "file>export XML" using general metadata view and the XML current inversion (1.5), but when I export the project as a .fcpxml file it comes up as a XML text file that is only 335 kb bug. What am I doing wrong here? How do I export the project file to send to the other editor so they can edit the project? Thanks!

If you want the other editor to work on it they will need access to the media,

Is there a great distance between the two of you?

He already has access to the media. Just wants to make a few tweaks to what I've already done, which is why he requested the project file.

Good. So he should be able to import your xml.

Alright - even though the file is coming up as an XML text file that is only 335 kb large? That doesn't seem right.

Yes, They're very small files.
