Retina 13" MacBook Pro Upgrades at Purchase?

Greetings all!

I am going to buy a Retina MacBook Pro in the next week or so. I was wondering if I should stick with the mid-range i5-5287U or if I should upgrade to the still dual-core i7-5557U. I was also wondering if I should upgrade from 8gb to 16gb of RAM at checkout, knowing that this RAM is soldered to the logic board. I already know that I need 500gb of flash storage.

I am a power user, and I am looking to use this laptop as a general purpose machine (web browsing, music, etc.) as well as some Photoshop and Final Cut Pro X work. I would like to play some lighter steam titles, such as TF2 and CS:GO. For this, I'm not ruling out Boot Camp. (Give me some feedback on that too!) On top of this, I will be using this for school and would like the laptop to last 3-5 years.

Kind Regards,

Tooch
