Can you use your phone while it is charging

I've heard that if you use your phone while it charges it destroys your battery. Can someone clarify if it's true or not?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.3

It does not destroy your battery you can use it all you want while it's charging, Hope this clears everything up for you.
