I am in the process of a divorce, and my soon-to-be ex has locked down my iPhone 5s with restrictions.
I have already tried erasing and restoring several times by using Find My iPhone and the Restore function in iTunes; Problem is that every time it restores, it restores with the restricions in place.
Who can help liberate me from this controlling spouse? 😐

You cannot restore from the backup. If you restore from the backup, as you have found, it puts the restrictions password back on it. Restore the device as new, and then you will have to put your data back on there individually. You will not be able to use your backup.

Earlier today I was playing with iBackup Viewer to try and extract the passcode. Think this program help me copy my data back, once I restore as New?
I'm not familiar with the software. What are you syncing your data to? You can always sync contacts and calendar to somewhere that you do not have to use your backup for. The only real thing you can lose by not using a backup, if you are properly syncing data to supported applications or cloud services is Message history and game save data. Everything else can be handled either by a cloud service or syncing to a computer.
SO right! It's been a while, so I wasn't thinking of each of the pieces, and instead seeing the backup as the 'Whole'
