Depends a little on the exact model of iPad. But you can either use an Apple TV to wirelessly mirror your iPad's screen to the TV, or if you want a simpler wired connection, a Digital Av adapter.
Assuming your iPad is of recent vintage one of these and a regular HDMI cable should be all you need.
