Attempted to watch my apple TV, it was frozen like it was trying to download/update. Nothing was happening. I unplugged the unit and a picture came up on my TV showing to connect my apple TV to my Itunes. I have done this and nothing is happening?
When you connect to iTunes, you are going to have to restore the device. That is what that picture meant.
Looks like the USB cable is not recognizing the apple TV in Itunes 😠
I would assume if the USB was working, I would see something in Itunes stating Apple TV or is there some place I need to search/find it?

It should show up as a connected device in the upper left corner of iTunes where you usually see your iOS devices, such as iPhone, iPad, iPod.
