How to delete cache from mail?

>My phone stores excessively large amounts of cache from the amount of emails I receive and send and I can't seem to delete this even though I have removed my email account from my phone.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3

You can't in 8.3. It's a bug.

I deleted my e-mail account but still have 160 MB of e-mail "usage" space.

Apple - fix this effing bug in the next release
