Cannot send icloud email from iphone

I have been having this issue for a few days not and it's driving me insane, I have tried everything to fix it but nothing works!! I get the error that the outgoing mail server is unavailable with the message about p05-smtp.mail.me.com being unavailable. I can't change any server settings in the mail outgoing servers as it's all blanked out. Can someone help me?!
