Q: Hi. I just bought Apple TV and am trying to get it to work with my 2008 Sony Bravia. I followed all of the directions. The remote seems to be working with my ATV and I selected HMDI on the setup on my TV, but my screen is black and says No Signal.

I just bought Apple TV and am trying to get it to work with my 2008 Sony Bravia. I hooked everything up and selected HMDI on the setup menu of my TV. However, all that appears on my TV is a black screen with a wireless icon in the upper left-hand corner and the message No Signal in the lower right-hand corner. What am I doing wrong?Thanks!

Make sure your TV supports 1080p.

This might be a really, really dumb question, but how do I find out if it does? My TV is a 2008 Sony Bravia TV Model KDL-37L4000.

It will be in the manual, but if you don't want to go look for that, you can do what I just did and enter the model information into a search engine. Says it is a 720p set.

I just found the manual and it says 720 p and 1080p, 1080 i. My TV should be able to handle ATV, shouldn't it? However, it's still not working.
