How do I keep playing iTunes with Mac lid closed

I want to keep playing iTunes over a speaker with the lid closed. How can I do that, if at all? 😕

That mode is called clamshell mode…

I believe it requires you have an external display to activate it, search around for the term 'clamshell mode' to see if anyone has other suggestions, there may be ways to allow it to work without a second display.
