Does applecare cover dead pixels on a retina screen

Question

I got a 15" Macbook Pro via FullSail University.

It says that my Apple Care should be good through May, 2017.

Before I bring it in & I'm wondering if I would be covered.

I have about a centimeter of dead pixels on the left side of the screen.

I have no idea how it happened because I opened my laptop and it was just like that.

Don't know much either. all I can say is call 'em and take it in. If you're covered, you're covered--that's it

They have pixel standards which are not published. You will have to make an appointment and have the display examined. Good luck.
