iphone reset not recognizing passcode properly

I knew what my passcode was but the iPhone5s would not recognize the passcode when I tried to reset my iPhone.

After trying many ways to reset it, the passcode that I knew was correct would not work.

I had restrictions enabled with a parental passcode.

The login passcode was set to a different passcode.

It wasn't until I turned off Restrictions that the passcode was then recognized by the RESET feature.

Note that neither passcode would work and returned failed attempts when trying to RESET.

I have since gone back and enabled restrictions again and the Restrictions Passcode now is recognized properly when trying to RESET.

Weird glitch...not sure if anyone will have this same experience but this was hours of troubleshooting, so hopefully it helps.
